The principals have over 25 years of experience providing GIS and mapping services for a variety of organizations. They met in 1998 while working at Lonely Planet Publications, where they were responsible for creating a spatial database and mapping system for a staff of over 30 cartographers.
Lohnes+Wright’s areas of interest and expertise include map design,
map production, data creation, automation of mapping processes, and GIS software
customization. Because mapping software - whether it's GIS, CAD, or design
programs - is rapidly evolving, the firm strongly believes in constantly evaluating
and optimizing mapping procedures. Finding the right tool or combination of
tools to effectively and efficiently complete the job is a critical component
of the
Lohnes+Wright workflow.
